A great resource for antique lovers, artists seeking unusual materials, eco-minded re-purpose fanatics or simply those who enjoy a flea market or general store shopping experience, Urban Ore has something for everyone, and from everyone for that matter! To End the Age of Waste” is their motto and the web site lays down the bold claim that “on an average day, Urban Ore prevents nearly 20 tons of waste from entering local landfills.” Now, there’s a good intention for you!

Operating since the 1980’s, but solidifying its mission and values in the ‘90’s, Urban Ore has everything from building materials, furniture, clothing and jewelry, artwork and antique collectibles to be found here. Need a clawfoot bathtub? A conversation-piece artwork for your new apartment? Some French doors, a lighting fixture or some cooking utensils? Urban Ore has got you covered – from head to toe and floor to ceiling. You can even purchase gift cards, return an item for a refund or rent goods from their expansive inventory!

On the other end of the cycle, avoid fees at the dump and drop-off your goods at Urban Ore for cash or trade credits while utilizing your power as an eco-citizen! For large or hard to move items, Urban Ore will come to you through their Outside Trader pick-up service. By scheduled appointment, a trader will assess your goods and offer free disposal, payment by check or a trade credit voucher for recyclable goods.
